I am a nationally and internationally recognised vascular surgeon with 28 years’ clinical experience. My practice aims to combine the highest surgical and academic standards with a sympathetic and relaxed environment to achieve the best clinical and cosmetic results possible. I specialise in the minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins and I am one of the most experienced surgeons in the UK.
I use minimally-invasive procedures to treat varicose veins, including endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) and ClariVein. I also treat thread veins, spider veins, red veins and facial veins. Patients also come to see me regarding venous ulceration; venous eczema; deep vein thrombosis (DVT); lymphoedema; leg swelling; phlebitis; venous and arterial disorders; peripheral vascular disease; hernias; subcutaneous lumps and bumps; axillary hyperhidrosis; sports conditions; sportsman's groin; fascial compartment syndrome. I am a friendly and approachable consultant, committed to providing excellent service to my patients.
To date, I have performed over 5,000 endovenous laser ablation procedures and 600 ClariVein procedures.
In addition to my clinical work, I am also proud to be a senior anatomy demonstrator at the University of Cambridge. During my clinical and academic career I have won national and international awards, written several surgical textbooks and published over 120 scientific papers.
