I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder and elbow conditions, with extensive experience helping patients manage pain, restore movement and return to their everyday activities.
I treat a wide range of concerns, including frozen shoulder, tendon problems and joint pain, as well as more complex conditions requiring joint replacement surgery. I offer both non-surgical treatments and surgical options, including minimally invasive (keyhole) procedures and shoulder or elbow replacement where appropriate.
I trained in orthopaedic surgery in Cambridge after qualifying from the University of Liverpool, before returning to the region to complete a specialist fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at a nationally recognised centre. Since then, I have been working as part of a specialist upper limb unit in Liverpool.
I have a strong interest in advancing shoulder and elbow care and have undertaken further training internationally, bringing back new techniques and approaches to support improved patient outcomes. I am also actively involved in research and teaching, contributing to developments in upper limb surgery and supporting the training of future surgeons.
I understand how limiting shoulder and elbow problems can be, so I take time to explain options clearly and support patients throughout their treatment and recovery.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
