Professional profile

Having completed a degree in Physiology at the University of London and qualified from Imperial Medical School in London in 1998, I went on to train as a surgeon in London and Essex. I was awarded an MD for a thesis on human pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours at St Bartholomew's hospital.

I have been an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor and laparoscopic surgery faculty member.

Following completion of higher surgical training, I obtained 1 of 6 nationally recognised and fully sponsored Laparoscopic (minimal access) Fellowships taken at Colchester ICENI centre with Professor R Motson. I was subsequently appointed a temporary consultant at St Marks Hospital in Harrow which is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for colorectal surgery. I have attended numerous national and international courses on laparoscopic, general and colorectal surgery.
