I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 17 years’ experience in vitreoretinal surgery in Hull, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of complex retinal conditions and advanced cataract surgery. I completed my specialist training in Southampton, followed by a prestigious fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, gaining extensive expertise in managing a wide range of retinal disorders.

I provide comprehensive vitreoretinal surgery, including treatment for macular hole, epiretinal membrane, vitreomacular traction, retinal detachment, diabetic eye disease, vitreous haemorrhage, floaters and eye trauma. My practice also includes retinal laser treatments, macular surgery and retinal detachment repair, as well as surgery for diabetic retinal complications and infections within the eye.

In addition, I am a highly experienced cataract surgeon, offering cataract removal surgery, complex cataract procedures and secondary lens replacement, including refractive lens exchange surgery to improve vision and reduce dependence on glasses. To date, I have performed over 6,000 cataract operations and more than 3,000 vitreoretinal procedures across NHS and private practice.

Alongside my clinical work, I am Joint Clinical Lead for Ophthalmology at Hull University Teaching Hospitals and remain actively involved in training future specialists. I also contribute to national research as Principal Investigator in several clinical trials focused on retinal disease and advanced treatments.
