I have been working as a Consultant Knee Surgeon at the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board since 2016.

My areas of expertise include sports related injury, degenerative knee pathology and young adult knee preservation surgery. As a specialist knee surgeon, my practice involves the assessment and management of all aspects of knee surgery, with a high volume practice in partial and total replacement.

I specialised in knee surgery with a particular interest in knee arthroplasty (partial and total knee replacement), joint preservation surgery (osteotomies around the knee for correction of deformities, including tibial and femoral osteotomies) and knee arthroscopy (meniscus repair, ACL/PCL, multi-ligament reconstruction). Treatments I also offer include de-rotation osteotomy around the knee, distal femoral osteotomy, meniscus repair, patella stabilization and slope changing tibial osteotomy. My clinical interests include osteoarthritis, soft tissue injury, sports injury and sports medicine.

I strongly believe in a personalised treatment of the knee pathology, based on the patients personal characteristics, activity levels and goals.

To date, I have performed over 820 partial and total knee replacement, more then 400 knee arthroscopic procedures (meniscectomy, meniscus repair and ACL reconstruction), 76 osteotomies around the knee (high tibial osteotomy, distal femoral osteotomy, tibial tubercle transfer). I have also performed some new and more challenging procedures, for example, meniscus root repair or derotational osteotomy.

My revision rate as per National Joint Registry feedback confirms a five-year revision rate of 0.66% for partial and total knee replacement.

My personal interests include traveling and history, as well as gardening and family outdoor activities.
