Specialises in
I completed my specialist urological training in the East Midlands. I spent the last year of my training at the stone unit at Nottingham University Hospitals. I developed my endoluminal surgical experience including flexible ureterorenoscopy, PCNL, and mini-PCNL. This was followed by a dedicated robotic and laparoscopic renal cancer fellowship at the Frimley Renal Cancer Centre for 16 months.
I regularly see patients with general urological problems. I provide treatment for patients with inguino-scrotal problems and benign prostate problems. I offer diagnostic cancer investigations. I specialise in minimally invasive surgery (robotic and laparoscopic surgery) to treat renal and ureteric cancer and benign kidney conditions (pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction, renal cysts).
I also specialise in the management and treatment of patients with stone disease. My sub-specialist interests are in the upper urinary tract (kidney and ureter) cancer and benign conditions, and the management of patients with stone disease.
To date, I have performed over 300 robotic and laparoscopic kidney operations (including partial nephrectomy, radical nephrectomy, nephroureterectomy and pyeloplasty), 350 ureteroscopies, and carried out over 60 mini-PCNLs in both my NHS and private practice. I regularly audit my surgical outcomes and cancer outcomes against national published data.
I started as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2019.
I regularly attend and present at international and national urological conferences. I have a book chapter and a number of publications in peer reviewed journals. I am principal investigator on renal cancer clinical trials at our renal cancer unit.
I enjoy playing tennis and spending quality time with my wife and my two energetic sons.
