I qualified in 2002 from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School, London. My postgraduate orthopaedic training was on the East of England training programme which included Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. After this, I undertook two fellowships in shoulder and elbow surgery in Melbourne, Australia and on my return to the UK completed part of a Trauma Fellowship before starting my Consultant post.

I was appointed Consultant to the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2014 and practice specialist shoulder and elbow surgery in the NHS and private sectors. My specialist interests are in shoulder and elbow arthroscopy and joint replacement.

I am active in both research and training and have published, amongst other conditions, on rotator cuff repair, shoulder replacement outcomes, elbow arthroscopy and sternoclavicular joint anatomy. I have contributed to textbooks of orthopaedic surgery and have reviewed scientific articles for international medical journals. I have also been part of the faculty on courses educating shoulder surgeons in advanced arthroscopic techniques.

I am a member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society and won prizes in 2011 and 2014 for the work that was presented at their annual meeting. Additionally to this, I have been awarded the 2024 Certificate of Excellence from iWantGreatCare, whereby the most highly-recommended clinicians and providers across the country receive this endorsement in recognition of outstanding care and patient reviews.
