Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Maisam Fazel at Spire include:
I read medicine at Cambridge University (where I was awarded the University Prize in Surgery) and later trained at leading teaching hospitals in London, Paris and Milan. During my training, I was selected for a National Fellowship at the renowned Nottingham Breast and Reconstruction Unit, where I trained within the Plastic Surgery department.
Subsequently, I was one of the very few surgeons to be awarded the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons Cosmetic Fellowship where I gained extensive experience in a wide range of cosmetic procedures under leading plastic surgeons in the UK. To further my training, I undertook an additional cosmetic and reconstructive surgery fellowship in the United States where I worked with internationally renowned aesthetic and plastic surgeons.
I specialise in cosmetic surgery of the breast and body and have pioneered innovative techniques in post pregnancy body reshaping (mummy makeovers). I am also one of the leading experts in the use of VASER liposuction both for fat reduction as well as high definition liposculpture.
On the academic front, I have published widely in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and have been invited to present my work at national and international meetings where I have won several awards. I am currently on Honorary Lecturer in London and is part of the Faculty at the Royal College of Surgeons.
My philosophy is to ensure that all my patients receive the highest level of care and welcomes patients interested in cosmetic or breast surgery.
