I am a very experienced ENT Surgeon dealing with most conditions of the ear, nose and throat in adults and children.
This includes: tonsillitis, tonsillectomy, nasal blockage, septal deviation, nasal polyps, sinusitis, hearing loss, hearing tests, grommets, ear surgery, ear infection, tongue tie, throat problems, lump in throat, voice loss, laryngoscopy, snoring and much more.
Having over 30 years' experience as a Teaching Hospital Consultant in Leeds, there is not much that I have not seen and treated. My aim is always to assess, diagnose, then explain problems to patients and their families in a straight forward language. There is usually always a range of treatment options or advice to give.
I am happy to see patients with or without a GP referral, whether insured or paying privately.

For many years I have researched the interaction between the nose and the ear and I have significant experience in this area. My research is itemised on my website. My NHS work includes providing general and specialist adult ENT advice and treatment particularly in day case nasal and ear surgery. My specialist paediatric interests include treating all the complex paediatric referrals sent in from the region to Leeds. Particularly in the assessment and treatment of breathing problems such as stridor.

Personal profile
I am married with children, who have mostly grown up so it allows me some time to indulge in my hobbies. I have always been a practical dexterous person and enjoy woodwork, furniture making and repair, and all varieties of DIY.
I have a great passion for sailing and have owned various dinghies and yachts. I enjoy sailing, racing and all aspects of boat maintenance. I think I have now given up golf for good! I enjoy walking - especially with the dog.
