MBBS, BSC, FRCS (Tr Orth)

I am a consultant orthopaedic knee, sports injury and trauma surgeon. My practice focuses exclusively on knee problems and offer the full breadth of treatment options from soft tissue reconstructive surgery, joint preservation surgery and also joint replacement for degenerative conditions. This covers paediatric knee complaints, advanced arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery for the treatment of cartilage injuries and ligament reconstructions, including the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL).

I have extensive experience and expertise in joint replacement offering a full breadth of treatment options including partial, total and revision knee replacement, including robotic surgery. I also have 20 years of sub specialty orthopaedic experience beyond my basic medical and surgical training.

In addition to my clinical work I am the orthopaedic lead for enhanced recovery and day case joint replacement at St Richards. I also lead the theatre transformation and efficiency team and am the undergraduate lead for medical student training with the orthopaedic department.

I graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine, London 2001. Having completed general surgical training in the South East of England he went on to specialist training in Trauma & Orthopaedics - St Georges Hospital Training Program, London. I was appointed to the specialist register having completed my training in 2014 and went on to gain further experience with Fellowships at University Hospitals Southampton and the Internationally-renowned Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre, Exeter.

I continue to research new and improved techniques in orthopaedic surgery and am widely published on lower limb reconstructive surgery, presenting work both nationally and internationally. I have a passion for developing new strategies to improve patient outcomes and enhanced recovery.
