Virtual consultations:
I hold regular clinics at Spire Nottingham Hospital and I'm available to discuss your condition and direct investigations as required. I place great value in taking time to understand your symptoms and concerns and to explain treatment options with clarity and to your satisfaction.
My private practice focuses on hip replacement surgery for arthritis. I also perform surgery for 'hip impingement' which is a cause of hip pain in young adults without arthritis.
I studied medicine at the University of Bristol. I undertook further training, specialising in orthopaedic surgery in Nottingham and New Zealand and subsequently took up a post as consultant in 2008. I have an orthopaedic ‘trauma’ surgery practice at the Queens Medical Centre and an ‘elective’ knee and hip surgery practice based at the City Hospital Campus of Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH). As well as treating patients, I have held the position of clinical governance lead with a responsibility for quality assurance in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at NUH. Since 2017 I have also held the position of deputy director of surgery at NUH with organisational and service development responsibilities.
