Specialises in

I qualified from the Quaid Azam University, Pakistan in 1986. I completed my basic and advanced general surgical training there before qualifying for the Fellowship in general surgery.

I started my urology training in England and completed a Masters of Science degree at the University College London. My thesis on an aspect of prostate cancer diagnosis was awarded a distinction. More advanced training, including sub-specialty training in female and reconstructive urology, was completed in East Scotland.

I was appointed to my current post as a consultant urological surgeon for the NHS Fife in December 2007. I have helped establish a streamlined pathway for diagnosis and treatment of the incontinent patient including video urodynamics and the use of botulinum toxin (Botox) bladder injections for the overactive bladder.

I like to spend the spare time outside of my busy professional life with my family.  Family excursions, cycling and hill walking with my wife and three sons are the favourites.

I am also an avid reader with a special interest in military and political history.

I also enjoy portrait and landscape photography.
