I am a Consultant Gynaecologist specialising in severe endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain and complications in early pregnancy. My practice focuses on providing personalised and compassionate care for women experiencing complex gynaecological conditions.
I specialise in minimal access surgery, including laparoscopic (keyhole) and hysteroscopic surgery, particularly for women with severe endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain and subfertility. I also provide minimally invasive treatment for heavy menstrual bleeding, ovarian cysts and fibroids. Alongside my surgical work, I specialise in ultrasound scanning and 3D ultrasound for the management of miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, recurrent miscarriage and second trimester pregnancy loss.
I have been qualified for over 15 years and have been performing keyhole surgery for severe endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids and hysterectomies since my appointment as an NHS Consultant in 2017. I also run weekly ultrasound clinics and have supported thousands of women through complications in early pregnancy, including miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. Delivering high-quality, compassionate care is central to my approach.
My NHS practice is based at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester, where I served as Clinical Lead for Early Pregnancy and Emergency Gynaecology between 2017 and 2022. I also run a specialist clinic for women who have experienced second trimester pregnancy loss and provide advanced surgical procedures aimed at reducing future pregnancy risks.
I am a named surgeon at the Northwest Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Centre at St Mary’s Hospital, one of the UK’s largest tertiary referral centres for endometriosis. I also established a regional referral clinic for the diagnosis and management of non-tubal ectopic pregnancies in the North West. In addition, I am part of the North West Gynaecology team, providing private gynaecology services across a range of subspecialties.
Alongside my clinical work, I am passionate about education and training. Over the past six years, I have supervised specialty trainees undertaking advanced laparoscopic surgery training for benign gynaecological conditions. I have also worked as an associate tutor for specialty trainees and was nominated for the Trainer of the Year award in 2023.
I work closely with the national pregnancy loss charity CRADLE and collaborate with local education teams to help ensure compassionate, high-quality care across our services at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester. More recently, I have also taken on a leadership role focused on digital transformation within the gynaecology department at Manchester Foundation Trust.
