I provide a specialist foot and ankle service at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead. I believe in offering a personalised approach, taking the time to understand your symptoms and tailoring treatment to your individual needs. I am always clear and honest when discussing procedures, rehabilitation and what you can realistically expect from treatment, so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

I completed my Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in the Northern Deanery in Newcastle upon Tyne. Following this, I undertook an Advanced Surgical Training Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. I was also honoured to receive a BOFAS visiting fellowship in Zurich, which allowed me to further develop my expertise.

To ensure I continue providing the most up-to-date care, I regularly travel internationally to learn about emerging techniques in foot and ankle surgery. I also hold a certificate degree in Evidence-Based Orthopaedics from Middlesbrough University, which supports my commitment to delivering treatments grounded in the latest research. Alongside my clinical work, I am actively involved in educating junior doctors and training future orthopaedic surgeons.

My practice focuses on a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, particularly those related to sport and active lifestyles. I have a special interest in treating younger patients with ankle arthritis and in performing soft tissue reconstructive surgery for sports-related injuries around the ankle.

I regularly treat ankle ligament injuries and carry out ligament reconstruction, as well as ankle arthroscopy, a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat problems within the joint. My work also includes Achilles tendon reconstruction, bunion surgery and other minimally invasive techniques. Through these treatments, I aim to help restore movement, reduce pain and support your return to everyday activities.
