  • Osteoarthritis

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in lower limb surgery. My practice consists of primary hip and knee joint replacement and revision (redo) surgery for failure and infection.

For those patients who are suitable I look to promote enhanced recovery and believe strongly in a patient centred approach to care.

After graduating from Liverpool Medical School I underwent higher surgical training in the Northwest of England. I completed the prestigious John Charnley Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital in 2022, a unit that carries out up to 3,000 joint replacements a year. In addition to high volume operating I gained skills in complex pathology, revision surgery, patient specific implants and instrumentation.

I have published several papers on knee replacement design and survivorship, periprosthetic infection and revision joint replacement and have keen interest in teaching. I am the clinical lead for NICE guidance and Metastatic disease at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

My academic pursuits include several published papers focusing on knee replacement design, survivorship, periprosthetic infection, and revision joint replacement. I am also deeply dedicated to the education of the next generation of orthopaedic professionals.
