I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in lower limb surgery, practising at Spire Washington Hospital, providing expert care for patients across Washington, Sunderland, and the Northeast.
I completed my medical degree at Newcastle University before undertaking my postgraduate orthopaedic training in the Northern region. I then advanced my surgical expertise in London, Ontario, where I trained in complex hip and knee replacement, including revision surgery. During this time, I also developed specialist experience in the management of early adult hip conditions and hip arthroscopy.
Following my training, I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead, alongside my private practice at Spire Wahington Hospital. My approach is patient‑centred, ensuring that every individual receives a tailored treatment plan.
I have a particular interest in lower limb conditions and sporting injuries, offering treatments including arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), hip replacement surgery, knee replacement surgery, and the management of sports-related injuries. I regularly treat patients with ligament injuries, cartilage damage, hip impingement, arthritis, and ongoing joint pain.
