I'm a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon for Spire Edinburgh and the NHS, Fife.
Having graduated at The University of Nottingham and then undertaking basic surgical training in Nottingham and Sydney, Australia I moved to Edinburgh. I completed Orthopaedic training in Edinburgh. I then travelled to Brisbane, Australia for a hip and knee replacement fellowship under the tutelage of Professor Ross Crawford - one of Australia's leading research surgeons. Professor Crawford was the first Australian surgeon to perform a robotically-assisted hip replacement.
I have presented research work both in the UK and at various European meetings.
I currently work in Fife performing elective hip, knee and foot operations on a regular basis.

Originally from Northern Ireland I now live in Edinburgh. I am married to Jo, a local GP in Stockbridge with three young boys. I enjoy golf, cricket and racquet sports. He is a member of Bruntsfield Links Golf Society and Edinburgh Sports Club. I am a medical contractor for the Scottish Rugby Union.
