I specialise in facial plastic surgery and the management of facial skin cancer.

Non-surgical treatments I perform include Obagi peels, fillers and anti-wrinkle injections. The surgical procedures performed include blepharoplasties, chin surgery, rhinoplasties, facelifts, pinnaplasties, brow lifts, scar revision, skeletal facial deformities and fat transfer to the head and neck region.

I can see children for consultations only at Spire Washington Hospital.

I am a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon based at Sunderland Royal Hospital. I qualified in 1985 and was appointed to my current post at Sunderland Royal Hospital in September 1993. I trained on the Merseyside rotation, Queen Mary's University Hospital and Guys Hospital. During my training I completed attachments at The Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota, The University Hospital of Minnesota and The Kenyetta Hospital in Nairobi.

I am a member of the Northern Skin Cancer Sub-group and a member of the Durham specialist skin MDT. I lecture on surgical and non-surgical cosmetic treatments such as fillers and anti-wrinkle injections, also skin cancer management and other aspects of facial deformity and cosmetic procedures.

I am also a fellow of the European academy of facial plastic surgery and fellow of the British Association of oral and maxillofacial surgery. I am an inter speciality member of BAPRAS. I have been certified in cosmetic surgery of the face, nose, periorbital region and ears under the Cosmetic Surgery Certification Scheme by the Royal College of Surgeons.
