I am a GMC registered specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, which entailed 13 years of postgraduate training in the UK to achieve. Subsequently, I have been an NHS consultant in oral and maxillofacial surgery for over five years. I completed an Advanced Fellowship in cosmetic reconstructive surgery in the UK. I am officially registered as a UK Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeon, demonstrating my commitment to providing safe, high-quality patient care.
In addition to general oral and maxillofacial surgery, my sub-specialty is in the management of head and neck skin cancer and subsequent facial reconstructive surgery. With this experience and training in cosmetic surgery, I have a wide range of skills to manage facial reconstructive surgery, including for cosmetic reasons.
I routinely perform skin cancer operations as a consultant alone, and maintain regular quality checks on my outcomes. I've trained with a number of cosmetic surgeons in a full range of facial procedures, and undertake such procedures when indicated in my NHS practice.
I am a Training Programme Director for NHS England in the North West. I have several educational roles, including in NHS England, managing training of new doctors and dentists.
I have honorary positions with the Medical Schools of the Universities of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) and Lancaster. I supervise student placements in the NHS and act as an examiner for medical students.
