I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a clinical practice exclusively involving treatment of spinal conditions. I have been a consultant spinal surgeon at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital since 2001. Since 2005, I have been the head of the Spinal Department at Oswestry. In 2009, I took up the post of head of scoliosis surgery at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool.
My speciality interests include treatment of degenerative spinal conditions including lower back pain and neck pain, disc herniations causing sciatica and arm pain, lumbar canal stenosis, spinal deformities in children and adults including scoliosis and kyphosis, spinal fractures and tumours of the spine.

Personal profile
I am married to Mona, my wife of 17 years. We have a son, Rishi who is 14 years old. My non professional hobbies include travel, golf and reading.
My current golf handicap is 18, and is currently on its way up on a yearly basis. I do most of my reading during my travels and enjoy both fictional and non fictional works.
