I am a leading Consultant Urologist with consistent 5 stars reviews from my patients, who is based in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

I can help patients in all areas of urology care but specialise in the management of men’s health conditions such as difficulty or increased frequency passing urine, urinary incontinence, prostate problems such as a raised PSA (concern about prostate cancer), impotence/erectile dysfunction (ED), swellings of the testes (concern about testis cancer, varicoceles / enlarged veins around the testes), low libido/low testosterone, problems with the penis and the foreskin and the investigation and treatment of kidney stones.

I have a passion for treating patients in a less invasive and holistic way. One such example is the introduction of soundwave technology (Low intensity ultrasound) for men with ED, Peyronie’s disease and Prostatitis, which is now available exclusively at The Spire Thames Valley Hospital.

I graduated from UCL medical school in London 1997 with honours and a first class BSc in Pharmacology and Immunology. I have worked in the top London teaching hospitals including Imperial, UCLH, Kings and the Royal free and is currently a consultant urologist at Frimley Health.

Diseases, medical tests and treatments I specialise in are surgical sperm retrieval using microsurgery (m-TESE), varicocele ligation with microsurgery and embolisation, holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP)/aquablation/TURP/rezum/urolift for urinary symptoms or retention (having a catheter in place), low testosterone and hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction treatment using soundwaves (low intensity ultrasound), circumcision, penile reconstruction, peyronies disease including verapamil injections, hyaluronic gel, soundwaves and surgery (Nesbitt and Lue procedure), prostate problems and raised PSA, haematuria investigation (blood in urine), haematopsermia investigations (blood in ejaculate) and kidney stones.

I am committed to high quality patient care as well as teaching doctors of the future. I am a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, The British Association of Urological Surgeons and is a national and international expert in men's health.

My research has focused on advancing microsurgical techniques in male infertility, including salvage micro-dissection testicular sperm extraction (m-TESE) for men with non-obstructive azoospermia, as well as the role of fresh versus frozen sperm in assisted reproduction and the evolving management of varicocele and minimally invasive stone surgery.

I have also published extensively on reconstructive penile surgery, including plaque incision and grafting techniques for Peyronie’s disease, salvage procedures after failed correction, and glans resurfacing for penile carcinoma in situ. In addition, my work has contributed to the management of priapism, atypical testicular pain, and contemporary approaches to erectile dysfunction.

One of my articles can be read here: Should primary microsurgical ligation of varicocele be the gold standard approach? Kalsi et al, Jan 2019.

I have been extremely fortunate to be able to balance a busy medical career with a wonderful family life including four children that keep us on our toes! I could only do this with the support of my extremely supportive wife Harvey. In my spare time, I am a keen sportsman with a particular interest in tennis and cricket.
