Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr James Moor at Spire include:
Head and neck surgery
In my NHS consultant post I am part of the multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) for both 'head & neck oncology' and 'endocrine disease' where I am one of the specialist thyroid surgeons. I see and manage many patients referred from their GP's under the '2 week rule' with symptoms and signs that have raised concerns about possible malignancy. I therefore see patients with a wide variety of lumps and bumps from different causes, including lymph nodes, thyroid and salivary glands.
I also maintain a broad practice in general ear, nose and throat conditions for both adults and paediatric patients, and have an interest in functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty. I trained at Leeds University and completed higher specialist training in ENT in the Yorkshire Deanery before completing my sub-speciality training (head & neck oncology and thyroid) with a Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship at the Freeman Hospital Newcastle.
