Professional profile
I graduated from University College Hospital, London and subsequently undertook surgical training in South West England, Southampton, Edinburgh, Wales and Australia. I obtained sub specialty training in colorectal surgery from Cardiff and was appointed as the overseas minimally invasive colorectal fellow at the Royal Brisbane Hospital Queensland in 2012-13. I have been a consultant colorectal surgeon at University Hospital of Wales since 2013. I hold a postgraduate qualification in medical education and enjoy training junior doctors in the art of surgery and encouraging and developing technological surgical advances.
My clinical interests are in all aspects of coloproctology, minimal access surgery, surgery for colorectal cancer, diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel diseases.
I am clinical lecturer to Cardiff University School of Medicine.

Personal Profile
I enjoy mountaineering, having acted as expedition doctor on three summit trips to Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. I live in Cardiff with my wife and enjoy the fantastic quality of life in south wales.
