I have been a Oncoplastic Breast Consultant for 10 years and am an expert in breast cancer and cosmetic breast surgery.
I specialise in breast cancer surgery with special interest in lumpectomies combined with breast reduction (therapeutic mammoplasty-breast reduction for cancer), sentinel lymph node biopsy, immediate and delayed breast reconstruction using acellular dermal matrix (eg strattice, surgimend, veritas) and latisimus dorsi breast reconstructions.
I also specialise in breast reduction, augmentation and mastopexy (breast uplift) and treating developmental breast anomalies.
I also perform nipple reconstruction, areolar tattooing and lipomodelling.
I have treated over 1,000 breast cancer patients. I have performed more than 100 breast reconstruction, reductions and augmentations in both my NHS and private practice.
I am Principal Investigator for international breast cancer clinical trials at Macclesfield District General Hospital. I am the lead breast reconstructive surgeon at MDGH as well as the lead clinician for cancer.
I am also a Senior Clinical Advisor in breast surgery to the Parliamentary and Health service Ombudsman.
