I am a respected Consultant Ophthalmologist at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. I offer high-quality cataract surgery at Spire Yale.
I also lead the Medical and Surgical Retina service with my main retinal interests being age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and macular hole surgery.
I am a graduate of Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, completed my post-graduation at JIPMER, Pondicherry and J N Medical College, Belgaum, followed by a Vitreo-retinal Fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai.
In the UK, I have obtained higher surgical training at the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology in Glasgow, Cardiff Eye Unit, St Paul’s Eye Unit in Liverpool and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
I am dedicated to participating in the education of junior ophthalmologists and serve as an examiner for The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, European Board of Ophthalmology, The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
I have also been a member of the Education and Training Committee of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists and am the ex-Chair of the Medical Training Initiative for International Medical Graduates Sub-committee.
I am an Honorary Faculty member at Cardiff University Medical School, Swansea University Medical School and the Biomedical Sciences Unit of Bangor University. I am keenly involved in Medical Research and work in close collaboration with Glyndwr University and the North Wales Clinical Research Centre.
