Mr Jag Naik

I am a specialist in treating patients with varicose veins and arterial conditions. I have been treating patients with varicose veins since 1994 and have been a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital since 2010.

My consultant practice includes the management of varicose veins (surgical, endovenous minimally invasive treatment, foam injections and micro-injections to thread veins), peripheral arterial disease (including diabetic foot), abdominal aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease, and anti-perspiration injections for axillary hyperhidrosis. I have published on several of these topics and lecture on them.

I qualified from Glasgow University and completed specialist training in Vascular Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where I received my Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and Fellowship in General Surgery awarded by the English, Irish and Scottish Colleges of Surgery.

During my training I was also awarded a Higher surgical research degree (MD) working with the Professor Sir Peter Bell, researching vein cells and their regeneration, at the University of Leicester. At the end of my training, I undertook an international fellowship at the distinguished, Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia, focusing on endovascular (keyhole) techniques.
