"I enjoy the friendly and professional atmosphere of all members of staff. The hospital not only delivers state-of-the-art treatment, but also has demonstrated the ambition to progress with technology."
I specialise in general orthopaedic, as well as trauma surgery, with a specific interest in hip and knee replacements. As an expert user of partial knee replacements and robotic assisted surgery, I feel that I can make a significant contribution to deliver patient-centred and personalised surgical treatments.
I perform primary and complex hip and total knee replacements.
Once I completed a Fellowship in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty and Lower Limb Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, I have been working as a full time Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics for the last five years.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr J Agustin Soler-Fernandez at Spire include:
LMS / University of Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain / 1997
Licentiate of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS UK equivalent)

I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, reading historical fictions books, listening to jazz music and going for long walks in the welsh countryside and beautiful mountains.
