I am a Consultant Spine Surgeon in Worcester, providing specialist care for the full range of adult spinal conditions. My clinical practice includes both surgical and non‑operative management of common and complex spinal problems, with a particular focus on sciatica, back pain, neck pain, arm pain, and nerve‑related symptoms.
My aim is to offer personalised, evidence‑based spinal care, using the least invasive treatment necessary to achieve the best outcome.
I regularly manage patients with: lower back pain and sciatica, neck pain and arm pain, degenerative spinal conditions, disc prolapse (slipped disc), spinal nerve compression, cervical and lumbar spine disorders.
Patients in Worcester benefit from a comprehensive assessment, including conservative treatments alongside advanced surgical options when required.
I undertake a wide range of microsurgical and minimally invasive spinal procedures, including: minimally invasive spinal decompression, microdiscectomy, cervical discectomy, cervical foraminotomy, spinal fusion surgery and artificial disc replacement surgery.
These techniques are designed to relieve nerve pressure, reduce pain, and support faster recovery wherever possible.
In addition to surgery, I have extensive expertise in the conservative management of spinal pain, including image‑guided spinal injections such as: nerve root blocks, facet joint injections and image‑guided epidural injections.
Many patients with back or neck pain in Worcester can achieve excellent results without surgery through these targeted treatments.
My basic surgical and orthopaedic training was completed in South Wales, followed by specialist orthopaedic training in the West Midlands Deanery.
I further developed my spinal expertise through dedicated Spine Fellowships at: University Hospital North Staffordshire and North Bristol NHS Trust.
In addition, I undertook international spinal visitations to Miami and Florida Celebration Hospital, Orlando, USA, gaining exposure to advanced spinal techniques and best practice.
I am committed to delivering high‑quality spine surgery and spinal care in Worcester, combining modern minimally invasive techniques with a holistic, patient‑centred approach.
