I've held a substantive consultant appointment at University Hospitals Birmingham since 2006. I am a member of the head and neck and thyroid multi-disciplinary teams.
I graduated from Bristol University in 1993 and worked in the North West and Wales before undertaking higher specialist training in the West Midlands. I became a consultant in 2006.
My main areas of interest and experience are thyroid surgery, voice and throat problems, and salivary gland surgery, as well as general ENT medicine and surgery. I am a high volume thyroid surgeon (I perform over 50 operations per year) and I also run a specialist voice clinic.
I was recently appointed Trustee of Get-A-Head - a Midlands based charity that funds research into head and neck disorders and provides equipment and services to support patients.
