I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Hip and Knee Surgeon in Southend since 2006. 

My specialist interests are knee replacement (including patient-specific and rapid-recovery), hip replacement (including minimally invasive hip replacement and rapid-recovery), knee arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), hip and knee joint injections, and knee ligament surgery (including ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair and cartilage repair).

Since becoming a Consultant in 2006, I have performed high volumes of hip and knee replacements, ACL reconstructions and knee arthroscopies, and revision hip and knee replacements. I graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, University of London in 1994. I then trained at St George's Hospital in London before completing my specialist training in orthopaedic and trauma surgery on the Royal London Hospital training programme. I undertook my specialist training - a Fellowship in Arthroscopic Knee Surgery and ACL reconstruction in Bristol, UK and a Fellowship in Revision Hip and Knee replacement in Adelaide, Australia.

I welcome appropriate patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GP letter of referral. I have availability for outpatient clinic consultations on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
