My journey in women's healthcare began right here at Bristol Medical School. Over a deeply rewarding 15-year career, my passion for providing modern, compassionate, and truly personalized care has only grown. As a Consultant Gynaecologist at Southmead Hospital and a fertility specialist at the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine (BCRM), I aim to combine the latest medical and surgical advancements with a warm, supportive approach.

Navigating fertility struggles or the heartbreak of pregnancy loss can be an incredibly difficult journey. As the lead for Southmead Hospital’s Recurrent Miscarriage Service and a consultant at the BCRM fertility clinic, I consider it a huge privilege to be able to empower and enable individuals to fulfil their desire for a family.

I specialise in uterine fibroids and am able to perform all surgical treatment options for this condition. I am also a hysteroscopic specialist, performing niche surgery for fertility optimisation. My clinical interests include assisted conception, hysteroscopy, infertility, laparascopic surgery, menopause, menorrhagia, menstrual disorders, miscarriage, post menopausal problems, reproductive health, sexual health and subfertility.

Living with uterine fibroids can feel overwhelming, which is why I have committed much of my career to developing expertise in the full array of treatment options for this condition, placing choice truly in the hands of my patients. As the clinical lead for the regional Fibroid Service at Southmead Hospital, I receive referrals from across the Southwest for specialist opinion and treatment.

I am proud to have introduced radiofrequency ablation to Bristol — a modern, minimally invasive treatment that shrinks fibroids without major surgery. Holding the highest caseload for this technique in the Southwest, I have had the privilege of witnessing this treatment transform patients’ lives with minimal disruption.

I aim to blend of advanced surgical skills with clinical expertise in miscarriage and fertility. This experience allows me to offer bespoke, holistic, patient centred treatment options whilst promoting total continuity of care, taking into account all aspects of the patient’s fertility journey.

My specialised surgical care includes keyhole and robotic surgery. As an experienced robotic and laparoscopic surgeon, I perform precise, minimally invasive removal of fibroids (myomectomies) and hysterectomies for a smoother, faster recovery as well as more complex open surgery when required.

I also specialise in advanced womb cavity surgery. I have expertise in delicate procedures inside the womb, such as resection of submucous fibroids (fibroids in the womb lining), treatment of Asherman’s syndrome (scarring), correcting a uterine septum (metroplasty) or treatment of a caesarean scar niche to optimize pregnancy.
