I am a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon with over seven years' post CCT experience.
I was recently awarded an outstanding achievement award for my work in breast surgery and the care I offer to patients. In addition to this, I have been instrumental in developing a community breast pain clinic for which I have also received recognition.
I integrate plastic surgery techniques with breast cancer surgery to preserve and enhance aesthetic outcomes without compromising disease control following partial and complete removal of the breast.
I have undertaken specialist training in breast cancer and reconstructive surgery and completed an oncoplastic breast fellowship during the latter years of my higher surgical training.
I deal with both benign and malignant breast conditions. My breast cancer work involves treating patients identified through the symptomatic and screening service. I have experience in the use of implants for reconstruction and use a variety of smooth, textured and polyurethane coated implants.
For implant based reconstruction I use biological meshes and I offer patients both pre-pectoral reconstruction. I have also performed a number of Goldilocks reconstructions using the patients own mastectomy skin flap to form a breast mound. I have developed this further by performing a perforator flap alongside the Goldilocks procedure in select patients.
I have been trained in lipomodelling and use this as an adjustment to other reconstructive techniques.
I also perform partial and complete breast reconstructions using the patients own tissue and muscle (LD reconstruction) or tissue alone (LICAP, LTAP, AICAP, MICAP).
I also perform ductal surgery, fat banking and goldilocks procedure.
