I am a consultant eye surgeon with over 30 years' experience in Ophthalmology providing excellent comprehensive general ophthalmic service for all aspects of eye diseases. My areas of special interest include bespoke cataract surgery and all eyelid problems (including droopy eyelid, in turning or out turning eyelid, lumps and bumps, cancer, dry eyes, watery bags and blepharitis).

My specialist training was in the prestigious Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology in Glasgow followed by an advanced subspecialty training in Oculoplastic surgery in Maidstone Hospital, Kent.

I was the Clinical Director and head of the Ophthalmology department in Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

I am a member of Adoption and Impact Programme Reference Panel of National Insitute of Clinical Excellent (NICE).

I also work with the General Medical Council (GMC) UK as a CESR assessor. I assess applications from Ophthalmologists who wish to be on the GMC specialist register.

I have produced numerous publications in international journals including International ophthalmology, Investigative ophthalmology and British Journal of Ophthalmology. I have also written a book chapter in an ophthalmology textbook.
