I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in upper limb surgery, with significant experience in the management of shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist conditions. Over the past six years as a consultant, I have performed more than 3,000 upper limb procedures, including both elective and trauma surgery.

My practice includes a wide range of procedures such as shoulder replacement surgery, complex soft tissue reconstruction, thumb carpometacarpal (CMC) joint replacement and arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the shoulder and elbow. I have particular interests in the management of sports injuries, young adult shoulder conditions, minimally invasive techniques and complex shoulder arthroplasty.

I undertake the full spectrum of upper limb procedures, including shoulder arthroscopy for decompression, instability repair, frozen shoulder release and biceps procedures, as well as shoulder replacement (anatomical and reverse). I also manage shoulder trauma, including clavicle and proximal humeral fractures and acromioclavicular joint injuries.

My elbow practice includes arthroscopy for stiffness and arthritis, elbow replacement, radial head and hemiarthroplasty procedures, ligament reconstruction, tendon repair and nerve release procedures such as ulnar nerve decompression. I also provide treatments including platelet‑rich plasma injections where appropriate.

In hand and wrist surgery, I treat conditions including De Quervain’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, Dupuytren’s disease and small joint arthritis. I perform procedures such as trapeziectomy, ganglion and soft tissue lesion removal and thumb joint replacement using MAIA implants for basal thumb arthritis.

I completed my initial orthopaedic training in Mumbai and Pune, India, where I was awarded a Master of Orthopaedic Surgery. I then undertook further upper limb training in the South East of England, followed by fellowship training at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals, Epsom and St Helier Hospitals in London, and the Pan Am Clinic in Winnipeg, Canada. I have been practising as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2016.

I have a strong interest in research and have published widely in trauma and orthopaedics, with presentations at national and international meetings and contributions to surgical textbooks. I have also served as Principal Investigator for a number of national research and audit projects, including PROFHER2, ARTISAN, RAPSODI, PATHS and CIPHUR trials.

In addition to clinical work, I am actively involved in teaching. I examine undergraduate medical students at Lancaster University and contribute as faculty to AO UK Foundation courses. I regularly participate in regional and national training programmes and continue to engage in ongoing professional development.
