I am a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with a specialist interest in bowel cancer, early rectal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, abdominal wall reconstruction and hernia surgery. I have a strong emphasis on laparoscopic/keyhole surgery.
I also specialise in common anorectal proctology such as haemorrhoids, fistulas-in-ano, anal fissure, pilonidal sinus and anal skin tags with a particular emphasis on utilising laser treatment. I also perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy.
I obtained my medical degree from Guy's King's and St Thomas Medical School. I completed all my higher surgical and colorectal training in Leicester Hospitals with visiting fellowships to regional and European Units. I have published extensively in my field of general and colorectal surgery and successfully obtained a PhD in Cancer Treatment from the University of Leicester in 2019.
