I am an NHS Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals and a Consultant at the Spire Portsmouth Hospital and Spire Gatwick Park Hospital.
My main interest is in Reproductive Medicine and Assisted Reproduction where I have extensive experience having worked previously as a Consultant at CARE Fertility Clinic in Nottingham and as Clinical Director of the London Fertility Centre. I also see and treat private patients at the Spire Hospital in Portsmouth and Spire Gatwick Park Hospital, where I carry out gynaecological surgical procedures such as hysteroscopy and laparoscopy.
I worked with the team at CARE who established a treatment program for women with recurrent implantation failure and recurrent miscarriage who have high levels of natural killer cells and intracellular cytokine activity. I was also one of the pioneer team at CARE who was responsible for the world's first live birth following array CGH (Comparative Genomic Hybridisation) which is a technique to screen eggs for chromosomal abnormalities.
I am interested in all aspects of fertility care with a particular interest in reproductive immunology and the treatment of recurrent implantation failure and recurrent miscarriage as well as managing patients with low ovarian reserve.
I also provide surgical sperm retrieval to men who have no sperm in the ejaculate. I have many publications in national and international journals.
Well woman screening for women planning to delay starting a family, minimal access surgery, hysteroscopy and laparoscopy (performed for the investigations and treatment of infertility, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, polycystic ovaries, chronic pelvic pain and pain during intercourse)
