I am a Consultant Hand and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Spire Yale Hospital and Spire Abergele Clinic. In March 2012, I was appointed as a Consultant Hand and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, North Wales.

I completed my orthopaedic training in Manchester and Lancashire, including a 12‑month advanced training post in hand surgery based at the tertiary hand units of Salford and Wythenshawe. During this time, I gained extensive experience in microsurgery and plastic surgery.

In 2011, I completed the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH), University of Manchester Diploma in Hand Surgery, and was the first Consultant Hand Surgeon in Wales to be appointed with this qualification.

I am a keen teacher and act as an educational supervisor to junior doctors in training at Ysbyty Gwynedd. My research interests include digital motion capture of hand function and dysfunction, and the use of computational visualisation to support rehabilitation and data recording.

My clinical practice includes both trauma and elective work. In trauma, I manage conditions such as – nerve injuries, complex upper limb fractures, and flexor tendon repair and reconstruction. My elective practice focuses on complex hand and wrist disorders, with particular interests in Dupuytren’s disease, small joint replacement in the hand, sports injuries, and conditions affecting the musician’s hand.

My areas of expertise include – hand surgery and wrist surgery.
