I have 15 years’ experience in orthopaedic surgery. I specialise in hip and knee replacements including revision surgery and knee arthroscopy. Including advanced robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement surgery using state-of-the-art technology, providing highly personalised surgical planning and precision outcomes that can reduce post-operative pain and recovery time.

My current research interests include peri-prosthetic fractures and infected arthroplasty. I have lectured internationally and am on the faculty teaching anatomy at Southampton.

I undertook my Orthopaedic training within the Wessex region and was awarded my certificate of completion of specialist training in September 2011. A year’s fellowship in Western Australia cemented my interest in primary and revision hip and knee surgery. I developed a specialist interest in stiff and painful total knee replacements.

On returning to the UK I completed a second fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty at Bournemouth Hospital, gaining expertise in revision surgery for infections and metal on metal implants, before continuing to work at Bournemouth as a consultant for two years. During this time I focused on revision hip and knee surgery and introduced enhanced recovery protocols to improve patient outcomes following joint replacement surgery.
