I have been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Southampton since 2014. I completed a two and a half year fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery for the excision of benign gynaecological disease after securing one of the five training posts offered annually in the UK. I have been awarded a PhD on investigating the role of insulin-like growth factors in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
I perform advanced laparoscopic surgery and operative hysteroscopy and my main interests are minimal access surgery and treatment to endometriosis, pelvic pain and menstrual disorders. My other interests are colposcopy, management of abnormal smears and vulval skin disorders.
I have wide surgical experience in laparoscopic hysterectomy (total, subtotal), laparoscopic excision of endometriosis and adnexal surgery, laparoscopic myomectomy, operative hysteroscopy, colposcopy and LLETZ.
I am the Clinical Lead for Gynaecology and Outpatient Hysteroscopy and I am currently leading the development of a new ambulatory gynaecology suite in Princess Anne Hospital, Southampton.
I have published many research articles in peer reviewed medical journals and I am currently involved in two multi-centre medical research studies on menstrual disorders and pelvic pain.

I am the lead for Gynaecology and the Outpatient Hysteroscopy service at Princess Anne Hospital, Southampton.
