I have been a Consultant Liver and General Surgeon in Cardiff since 2015 and have developed our minimally invasive (laparoscopic) biliary and liver surgery programme.

I specialise in general abdominal surgery with a particular interest in liver, bile duct, gallbladder and hernia surgery.

I carry out up to 40 liver resections per year, which is a high volume in the UK. I have carried out more than 1,000 laparoscopic cholecystectomies and many hundreds of abdominal wall hernia repairs of all types.

I am the lead general surgeon in the Royal Air Force and am Clinical Director of the RAF's deployable hospital. I am Royal College of Surgeons Tutor for Cardiff and Vale, responsible for the quality of surgical training. I am Quality Improvement and Research Lead for the South Wales Major Trauma Network. I am Clinical Lead for Veterans Trauma Network Wales.
