I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Worcester, with a specialist interest in primary hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, knee preservation surgery, and knee arthroscopy. My practice also includes revision hip surgery, management of metastatic bone disease, robotic joint replacement, and general trauma, offering comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients across Worcester and Worcestershire.
My areas of expertise include: total hip replacement, total and partial knee replacement, robotic‑assisted hip and knee surgery, knee preservation procedures, knee arthroscopy, revision hip arthroplasty, metastatic bone disease, general trauma and orthopaedic surgery.
My passion for medicine began in London, where I was educated at Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School, Holland Park. I completed my pre‑clinical studies at Oxford University and clinical training at the University of London, graduating in 2002 with the Esther Frances White Memorial Prize and a Distinction in Surgery.
I undertook my Basic Surgical Training on the Cambridge Training Programme at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, followed by Higher Surgical Training on the prestigious Percival Pott (Barts) Programme. During this time, I trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore, and The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
To further develop my expertise, I completed a one‑year fellowship at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, specialising in complex revision hip surgery and bone tumour surgery under the supervision of Mr Duncan Whitwell. I have held Consultant roles at both the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore, before taking up my substantive Consultant post in Worcester.
I am pleased to offer MAKO robotic‑arm assisted hip and knee replacement surgery for suitable patients at Spire South Bank Hospital. This advanced technique uses a CT‑based personalised surgical plan to improve the accuracy of implant positioning and alignment, helping to optimise outcomes following joint replacement surgery.
I am committed to delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based orthopaedic care for patients in Worcester and across Worcestershire. My approach focuses on accurate diagnosis, shared decision‑making, and selecting the most appropriate surgical or non‑surgical treatment to restore mobility, relieve pain, and improve long‑term quality of life.
