I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee surgery, with experience treating both routine conditions and complex injuries.
I see patients with a wide range of knee problems, including arthritis, ligament injuries, sports-related conditions and patello-femoral disorders. I offer both non-surgical treatments and surgical options where needed, including knee replacement (primary and revision), ligament reconstruction and keyhole (arthroscopic) procedures to restore function and stability.
Alongside my elective work, I am also involved in the care of patients with major trauma, including complex fractures and serious injuries, as part of a regional trauma service. This allows me to support patients through both planned and urgent treatment pathways.
I trained in the UK and further developed my expertise through specialist fellowships in knee surgery, including experience at leading centres in the UK and internationally. I have been working as a consultant in Liverpool since 2012.
In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved in teaching and training, supporting surgeons at all stages of their careers and contributing to national education programmes.
I have a particular interest in helping patients return to sport and activity, whatever their level, and understand how important this can be to overall wellbeing.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and keeping active through running and sport.
