I am a senior Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment and comprehensive eye care. My focus is on providing safe, personalised treatment to help patients protect and improve their vision. I have an exceptionally low complication rate in cataract surgery and offer dedicated cataract packages for BUPA, AXA and self-funding patients, while also treating patients insured with all major providers. I do not offer corneal laser vision correction procedures such as LASIK, choosing instead to focus on established surgical and medical eye care treatments.
I completed my Basic Surgical Training in Bristol before undertaking Higher Surgical Training in Cambridge. Following this, I achieved my Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Ophthalmology and was entered onto the GMC Specialist Register. I then completed a sub-specialist glaucoma fellowship and was honoured to receive the International Glaucoma Association Research Award.
Alongside my clinical work, I completed an MD thesis titled Neuroprotection in Glaucoma, reflecting my ongoing commitment to advancing patient care and improving understanding of glaucoma treatment. I regularly attend and present at international conferences to stay up to date with the latest developments in ophthalmology.
I provide expert care for a wide range of eye conditions, with particular expertise in cataract surgery, glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, and advanced ophthalmology care. I also offer innovative treatments for dry eye conditions and ocular surface problems.
My glaucoma services include comprehensive diagnostic assessments, medical therapy, laser treatments and surgical interventions tailored to each patient’s individual needs. This includes Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty and MicroPulse Laser treatment. I also specialise in micro-incision refractive cataract surgery, particularly for patients who are managing both cataracts and glaucoma.
My approach to patient care has been shaped not only by my UK training, but also by international surgical electives in the USA, Taiwan and Kenya. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care. I was proud to receive the International Glaucoma Association Patient Care Award in recognition of my dedication to providing high-quality, personalised treatment and helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
