Professional profile

I am currently a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. I specialise in hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery.

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh as the gold medallist and subsequently completed orthopaedic training in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. I then spent the following two years pursuing advanced sub-specialty training by completing an Upper Limb Fellowship in Wrightington Hospital and a National Interface (Orthoplastic) Hand Fellowship in Manchester. I have travelled to multiple centres of excellence in Europe, North America and Asia to learn from the leading experts in hand and nerve surgery.

My pursuits of professional development have been recognised by the awards of Zimmer SCOT travelling fellowship, BOA travelling fellowship, FESSH travelling award and Stack fellowship.

I also maintain a strong interest in research and education and I regularly publish academic articles in peer-reviewed journals and lectures at national and international scientific meetings.
