Virtual consultations:
I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in Hand and Wrist Surgery. I have more than 20 years of experience in orthopaedics. Commonly treated conditions include carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's disease, tendonitis, arthritis of the wrist and hand, trigger finger, tennis and golfer's elbow, hand wrist forearm and elbow fractures, wrist and hand soft tissue injuries. Modern arthroscopic surgery (keyhole operations) and collagenase injections are routinely performed.
After qualifying as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Greece in 1998, I worked in senior positions for three years before becoming a consultant. During completion of my fellowships at Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital and at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby I gained wide experience in hand surgery. I obtained the European Diploma in Hand Surgery after passing the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand exams. Subsequently, I completed a PhD thesis in wrist surgery (scaphoid non-union).
I have been a consultant hand surgeon since 2001 developing, delivering and managing the hand surgery service at Queens Hospital, Burton On Trent.
I am a fully dedicated hand surgeon and do not undertake any other orthopaedic work. I am committed to providing the highest quality of care within a safe environment.
