I specialise in treating conditions affecting the hip and knee. I specialise in hip and knee replacement surgery including advanced robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement surgery using state-of-the-art technology, providing highly personalised surgical planning and precision outcomes that can reduce post-operative pain and recovery.

I offer a range of treatments for hip and knee problems which includes hip and knee replacement surgery, keyhole (arthroscopic) knee surgery for joint problems, and joint injections to help relieve pain and inflammation.

After undergraduate training at Oxford University and University College London I qualified in 2006. My surgical training was completed in Wessex Deanery and included 16 months in Wellington Hospital, New Zealand. I was awarded the Sir Walter Mercer Gold Medal for outstanding performance in the FRCS Trauma and Orthopaedics examination in 2017.

Before my appointment as a Consultant at University Hospital Southampton in 2020 I completed specialist fellowships in hip and knee surgery at University Hospital Southampton, major trauma and complex arthroplasty at the Royal London Hospital, and a travelling AO fellowship in Houston, Texas.

As Orthopaedic Trauma Lead at University Hospital Southampton, our local Major Trauma Centre, I lecture both regionally and nationally and am involved in several ongoing research studies.
