I have been a consultant at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust since 2006. I trained in Yorkshire and specialise in general and colorectal surgery. I perform general surgery including abdominal wall and groin hernias, laparoscopic surgery including gallbladder removal and colorectal procedures including treatment of haemorrhoids (banding, eXroid, haemorrhoidal artery ligation and haemorrhoidectomy), fissures and perianal abscesses and fistulas.
I have performed thousands of operations, including hundreds of bowel resections, mostly for cancer, and thousands of upper and lower GI endoscopies. I have a published mortality for bowel cancer resections that is lower than the national average and is the lowest in our trust.
I do not perform laparoscopic groin hernia repair
