Mr Chris Jack

I am an orthopaedic hip and knee surgeon practising at Spire Southampton Hospital.

I specialise in hip and knee replacement surgery including advanced Mako robotic-assisted total and unicompartmental hip and knee replacement surgery using state-of-the-art technology, providing highly personalised surgical planning and precision outcomes that can reduce post-operative pain and recovery time.

Other treatments I carry out in my practice include knee arthroscopy, unicompartmental knee replacement, hip arthroscopy, pelvic and acetabular surgery. 

I qualified in 2002 from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, whilst balancing a professional rugby career playing for Saracens. I undertook specialist orthopaedic training in South East Thames including Guy’s and St Thomas’, Brighton and King’s College hospitals. I then went on to do my fellowship in 2011 in Australia for a year with Bill Walter, in the well renowned Mater Clinic. I came back to pursue a fellowship in young adult hip surgery with Marcus Bankes at Guy's and St Thomas’ before a further fellowship at St George's Hospital with Martin Bircher and Mark Rickman, specialising in pelvic and acetabular reconstruction.

I continue to publish on hip and knee pathology and lecture on hip, knee and trauma.
