I am a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon specialising in breast reconstruction, cosmetic breast surgery and breast cancer. I am highly specialised, working only on the breast. I have a certificate in advanced training in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery following dedicated fellowship training with leading plastic and oncoplastic breast surgeons in the Yorkshire region.
Beyond treating breast cancer I have a particular interest in the aesthetics of the breast, particularly breast augmentation, and gynaecomastia (male breast) reduction surgery. I maintain focus, even alongside treating a breast cancer, on the ultimate cosmetic appearance of the breasts.
I offer breast reconstruction using multiple techniques including implants, tissue flaps (eg LD), and lipomodelling (fat transfer). I am able to offer procedures to provide symmetry such as mastopexy (breast lifts), breast reduction and breast augmentation.
I also offer transgender female to male TOP surgery and can see patients with a referral from a gender care specialist.
I qualified with merit from Newcastle University medical school in 2005, having trained in associated hospitals in and around Newcastle. During my undergraduate training I spent time at training hospitals in Vancouver and Sydney. After primary qualification I continued postgraduate surgical training in the north of England attaining a certificate in completion of training (CCT) and entry to the GMC specialist register.
