I am a full time Consultant Urological Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer in urology at University Hospital Southampton. I am the clinical lead for the Endourology Unit and audit/research lead for urology. I perform over 250 ureteric or renal endoscopic procedures per year and specialise in paediatric stone surgery. Besides endourology, I also provide treatment for all general adult urological conditions (including prostate and bladder cancer/diseases, penile and scrotal conditions).

I have streamlined the renal stone services in Southampton and perform complex stone surgery, bilateral ureteroscopic laser stone surgery, and regional referrals. I perform all modern minimally invasive stone treatments including Supine and Ultra-mini PCNLs.

I am the audit/research lead for the unit and am involved in 4 NIHR funded national trials and I sit on three Editorial boards and serve as a reviewer for more than 12 journals. I have over 85 published articles, 170 scientific abstracts and five book chapters.

I am a keen teacher and a faculty member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons skills courses in rigid/flexible upper tract endoscopy and TURP for the last five years. Due to my expertise in stone disease and ureteroscopy, I am now an endourology tutor for the European School of Urology and regularly teach techniques to consultants and trainees in European training centres.
